Day 19 of Prayer & Fasting - Pray about your Worries
Philippians 4:4-7 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Worry implies that we don’t quite trust God is big enough.
A man one day worried whether he would die of cancer, because cancer was so prevalent in the society. He worried about it for thirty years and then died of a heart attack as a result. Should you be concerned about your health? Absolutely. Should you do the best you can to stay healthy? Absolutely, but after you’ve done all that you can do, don’t worry. That’s what God says. So, to worry is to insult Him.
1. Are you insulting God with your worry?
2. How much would you say that you really trust God?
