Give Thanks in Your Brokenness Because God is Near Part 2
– Day 5
Psalm 139:7 “Where can I go to escape your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?”
Jeremiah 23:23-24 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
“God doesn’t have visiting hours, neither does he sleep. He’s there whenever we need him.”
All around us are invisible electronic waves. The air is thick with them. It’s because of those invisible waves that you can speak to someone on a cell phone, or listen to a radio in your car, or watch the football game on TV. You cannot see these waves. They are invisible to the naked eye, but when you sit down in front of your television and turn it on, the television set will
give you a visual of the invisible.
That which you cannot see will be made visible through the vehicle of a TV set. You will be able to see in living color the invisible become alive. God is invisible. The Bible says no man has seen God at any time. He’s a spirit. The air is thick with His presence. He is everywhere. In fact, if you read Psalm 139:1-12, you will see that God is ever-present. There is nowhere you can go to escape His presence. In those times of life when you feel broken and God feels far away, you can Trust His heart even though you can’t trace His hand!
1. Read Psalms 139:1-12. After reading this passage, do you realize how near God actually is to you?
2. Has God ever showed up in a place in your life where you didn’t think He would?
